This loft conversion in Shepherds Bush West London required an access stairs to compliment the original staircases of the lower floors. The wreathed handrail from ground to second floor had been painted by the previous owners and it was decided that the new stairs should match.
A new wreathed string stairs was designed and built in the workshop. The strings and treads were machined from Scandinavian redwood with plywood motif brackets. The wreath string was constructed from laminated plywood and the handrail from American Tulipwood. The round top tulip spindles are Brettells own standard pattern.
